Convention

Mankon Cultural and Development Association, MACUDA America started in 2006 with a convention in Minesotta, USA. The turnout was great and the Mankonians were very proud and excited to see the faces of friends, family and of course would be partners for life. As a result of this a decision was taken to continue this convention yearly.

The Convention is a time when Mankonians all over the United States, the Diaspora and  invitees from far and near come together to celebrate and embrace our culture. During the Convention, Mankonians and friends of Mankon figure out ways to help our beloved village Mankon, which is home away from home. It is usually a three days event which ranges from the Cultural night, General Meeting, Gala night and a  post convention events like city tours, sports and good bye barbacue.

MACUDA America will like to use this opportunity to invite all the Mankonians and friends of Mankon in the United States and abroad to come to the convention. If you have never attended one, this is the time to start. The Cultural night is one of the highlights of the convention that usually last in your memory for ever because it takes you back to your roots.

The Macuda Convention is spiced with inspirational speakers, traditional dances, activities for the kids and best of all, you will meet that friend or idol that you never dreamt of meeting in your life. Please plan to be at the next convention or at least tell someone about the upcoming convention slated for Cincinnati, OH  August 2nd – 6th, 2012
